A driver was airlifted to a hospital after a serious crash in Laclede County on Monday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 7:20 p.m. on Highway 17, south of Elk Road.
According to authorities, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the centerline, left the roadway, and collided with a tree.
The 40-year-old female driver from Cabool, Mo., sustained serious injuries but was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Lane closures were reported as crews worked to clear the site.
