A third person has died following a crash on Interstate 70 in Montgomery County on Monday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The collision, involving two tractor-trailers, occurred at the 181 mile marker at 1:48 p.m. One driver was killed, while another sustained injuries.
The Missouri Department of Transportation reported that westbound lanes experienced significant delays, with traffic expected to be affected for approximately four and a half hours.
Earlier, two fatalities were confirmed in a separate incident involving a motorcycle and a box truck at the 182.2 mile marker.
This morning, a truck fire prompted lane closures at the 177 mile marker.
