MISSOULA, Mont. — A winter storm is creating hazardous driving conditions over Homestake and Targhee Passes on Thursday morning.
On I-90, a crash blocked the eastbound lanes at mile marker 239.5 on Homestake Pass. The incident occurred at 5:42 a.m., with road conditions reported as slush.
According to the Montana Department of Transportation, the situation is under review. Emergency crews are on the scene, and tow services have been activated.
On U.S. 20 at Targhee Pass, chains are required for towing vehicles between mile markers 0 and 2 due to heavy snowcover.
Authorities advise caution and to check road conditions before traveling in the area.
