Delaware State Police Identify Pedestrian Fatality on Route 13 in New Castle
Sept. 19, 2026, 1:12 p.m. ET — A pedestrian fatality on Route 13 in New Castle has been confirmed as Nanette Snow, 57, of Wilmington.
Snow was struck by a Toyota Corolla around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 while attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Route 13 near Stahl Avenue.
Authorities said emergency responders arrived promptly, but Snow was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries to the vehicle occupants were reported.
The incident prompted temporary lane closures while the area was secured for investigation, which is ongoing. Delaware State Police are asking anyone with information to contact their office.
