BRAINERD — A 31-year-old Wadena woman died in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 210 in Cass County on Friday, Oct. 25.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at 10:58 a.m. at Milepost 114 in Sylvan Township, west of Baxter. Amber Marie Cloutier was driving a Chevy Monte Carlo eastbound on Highway 210 when her vehicle was struck by a Hyundai Elantra driven by 56-year-old Leesa Jean Peacock of Motley.
Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch of Highway 210 near Searcyville Road Southwest. Cloutier, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained fatal injuries in the incident. Authorities reported that Peacock suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, and North Ambulance were on the scene to assist. No further details on the investigation are currently available.
