WINDHAM, N.H. — A man was killed Sunday when his vehicle veered off North Lowell Road and landed in a swampy area, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. Emergency responders from Windham Fire Department arrived on the scene but were unable to revive the 36-year-old driver. He was pronounced dead at the site.
Witnesses reported that the vehicle appeared to lose control before exiting the roadway. Authorities confirmed that there were no other vehicles involved in the incident.
Emergency services blocked off a section of North Lowell Road for several hours while the scene was investigated. The roadway has since been reopened.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information to contact local authorities.
