19-Year-Old Faces Charges After Crash in Moberly Claims Unborn Child's Life

A 19-year-old from Novelty, Mo., has been charged following a crash on Highway 63 that resulted in the death of an unborn child. The incident occurred Saturday at 11:06 p.m., approximately two miles south of Moberly.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the suspect was driving a 2013 GMC Sierra eastbound when he crossed into oncoming traffic. The GMC collided with a 2015 Ford F150 operated by a 19-year-old man from Fairfield, Iowa.

The driver of the Ford sustained moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital. A passenger in the Ford, a 23-year-old woman from Fairfield, suffered serious injuries; her unborn child was later at the hospital.

Authorities arrested the GMC driver, identified as Hayden Wilson, on charges of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of DWI with physical injury, and . He was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
