BOSTON, MA — A hit-and-run crash involving an ambulance occurred late Thursday night at the intersection of Morton Street and Harvard Street.
Authorities reported the incident took place around 11:30 p.m., where the ambulance was transporting a patient to the hospital. Boston EMS confirmed the patient was quickly transferred to another ambulance for continued care.
Both EMTs involved were transported to local hospitals for evaluation. Their conditions have not been released.
Massachusetts State Police are searching for two individuals who fled the scene in a white Jeep. Troopers and a K-9 unit conducted a search, but the suspects remain at large.
Witnesses reported that the ambulance was pushed onto the sidewalk and may have crashed into a nearby gate. Video from the scene indicates the Jeep sustained significant damage and was towed away.
