GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WCHS) — Two men died Saturday afternoon in a crash involving multiple motorcycles and a car on State Route 850.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Authorities reported that motorcycles operated by 28-year-olds Brandon C. L. Sias of Chesapeake and Hunter R. Ferguson of Huntington veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a car. Both riders were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third motorcycle, driven by 58-year-old Cecil Ferguson, also crashed into the vehicle after it was spun into oncoming traffic. Two additional motorcycles nearby avoided the car, although one crashed into a ditch.
Minor injuries were reported among the three other motorcyclists. The roadway was closed temporarily for investigation and clean-up by responding emergency services.
