MAHOMET — Two injured in motorcycle–car collision at U.S. 150 and Champaign County Road 125 E Monday evening.
The crash occurred at 7:08 p.m. when Ryan Holt, 33, of Bloomington, attempted to pass Cedric Wilder, 24, of Mahomet, who was turning left. Holt's motorcycle struck Wilder's car, resulting in both Holt and his passenger, Jacklyn Sampos, 30, of Mansfield, being thrown off the bike.
According to Illinois State Police, Holt and Sampos were transported to Carle Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were reported in good condition Tuesday.
Holt received citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper passing at an intersection, and violation of a driver's license classification.
