BELTLINE CRASH IN BELOIT CLAIMS TWO LIVES
BELOIT, Wis. (WREX) — Two victims were killed in a vehicle crash early Sunday at the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Cranston Road.
Authorities identified the deceased as 68-year-old Barney Hurd of Beloit and 43-year-old Carlos Hodges of Turtle. Hurd was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the incident, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. Hodges was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Autopsies were conducted on Monday, but the causes and manners of death remain pending, according to the Rock County Medical Examiner's Department.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the crash. No additional details regarding the vehicles involved or any potential causes have been released.
