BELTLINE CRASH IN BELOIT CLAIMS TWO LIVES

BELOIT, Wis. (WREX) — Two victims were killed in a vehicle crash early Sunday at the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Cranston Road.

Authorities identified the deceased as 68-year-old Barney Hurd of Beloit and 43-year-old Carlos Hodges of Turtle. Hurd was at the scene shortly after the incident, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. Hodges was transported to a local hospital where he was later .

Autopsies were conducted on Monday, but the causes and manners of death remain pending, according to the Rock County Medical Examiner's Department.
