Two people were injured in a crash in Crawford County on Wednesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 12:35 p.m. on Interstate 44, near mile marker 201.4.
According to authorities, a 2021 Hyundai Palisade crossed into another lane and collided with a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500.
Both vehicles subsequently veered off the left side of the roadway.
The Dodge overturned, while the Hyundai struck cable barriers in the median.
The 50-year-old driver of the Dodge, from Kansas City, sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The Hyundai's driver was uninjured; however, a 13-year-old occupant in the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was also taken to a hospital by ambulance.
MSHP confirmed that all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
