TWIN FALLS, Idaho (CBS2) — A two-vehicle collision involving a hay-stacker truck hospitalized two men Wednesday afternoon in Twin Falls County.
Idaho State Police reported the incident occurred on June 3 at approximately 12:19 p.m. at the intersection of N 2500 E and E 3400 N.
A 28-year-old man from Jerome was driving southbound in a 2006 Ford Taurus, while a 59-year-old man from Twin Falls was operating a New Holland hay-stacker truck westbound, according to authorities. The driver of the Ford Taurus allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with the hay-stacker.
Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt and both were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Subsequently, the driver of the hay-stacker was airlifted to another medical facility for further treatment, according to ISP.
The intersection was closed for approximately two and a half hours as emergency crews cleared the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
