A St. Louis man has been charged following a three-vehicle crash in Camden County on November 6, 2025.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), troopers responded to the accident on Missouri 7, near Granger Lane, at approximately 2:41 p.m. A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 35-year-old William F. Hemrick, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2022 Ford Maverick. The impact caused the Ford to veer back across the roadway and strike a 2018 GMC Acadia.
Subsequently, the Chevrolet went off the road and struck a tree. One driver suffered serious injuries and was flown to a nearby hospital, while the other sustained minor injuries.
Authorities reported that troopers detected the smell of alcohol on Hemrick's breath, leading to suspicions of intoxication. Court documents revealed Hemrick exhibited watery, bloodshot eyes, and droopy eyelids. When questioned about alcohol consumption, he admitted to having three drinks and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Hemrick declined to take a Preliminary Breath Test.
On March 20, 2026, prosecutors charged Hemrick with DWI – Serious Physical Injury and DWI – Physical Injury. Further investigation into the crash is ongoing.
