Two individuals were hospitalized after a vehicle collided with a roadside mower on N.C. 43 South Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:29 p.m. near 7227 N.C. 43 South, according to Pitt County Emergency Management.
Authorities reported it was a single-vehicle accident involving a mowing crew when the vehicle struck their mower, resulting in minor injuries.
The Black Jack Volunteer Fire Department and Eastern Pines Volunteer Fire Department responded, alongside two Pitt County EMS ambulances, according to officials.
Both patients were transported to a nearby emergency department.
Authorities confirmed that the roadway has since reopened.
