PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. (WKRC) – A police chase involving a U-Haul truck ended in a crash after deputies performed a PIT maneuver on May 8.
According to the Paulding Sheriff's Office, the pursuit began when the U-Haul was seen driving recklessly in Paulding County. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Damian Jones, was wanted on charges from multiple counties.
During the chase, Jones reportedly collided with a pickup truck and struck several other vehicles. The pursuit concluded when a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, causing the U-Haul to overturn in the parking lot of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Jones was taken into custody, and law enforcement discovered drugs inside the U-Haul. Specific charges against him have not yet been disclosed.
