Two Vessels Collide on Lake Mitchell, Injuring One

June 27, 2026, 7:09 p.m. CT — A collision between two boats on Lake Mitchell on June 26 two individuals and left one injured, according to authorities.

Around 7:15 p.m., a 17-foot Bumblebee Bass boat collided with a 17-foot Nova Bass boat in Hatchet Creek, Coosa County. The incident resulted in the operator and a passenger of the Bumblebee being thrown into the water.

The passenger, identified as 38-year-old Natasha L. Holt of Munford, was rescued and transported to Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery for treatment. The operators of the Nova and Bumblebee, 24-year-old Duncan Davis of Deatsville and 30-year-old Trevor Howell of Munford, respectively, were unharmed.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is continuing its investigation into the incident.
