Two Dead in Tacoma Multi-Car Crash Involving Stolen Vehicle
TACOMA, Wash. – Two men died Thursday night in a multi-car collision on South Hosmer Street after the stolen Honda Civic they were inside ran a red light.
At approximately 8 p.m., authorities say the Civic, traveling south, collided with an oncoming vehicle that was heading north, causing it to spin and strike two additional cars. The passenger, 37, has not been publicly identified, while both men in the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Honda Civic was reported stolen on August 5 in Lakewood, and police are investigating potential speeding as a factor in the crash. No additional injuries have been reported from the other vehicles involved.
The investigation is ongoing, and lane closures were implemented during emergency response measures.
