Lede: Two people lost their lives in a car crash early Saturday morning in Hyattsville, MD.
According to Prince George's County Police, the incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. when a car crashed into a tree on the 6500 block of Columbia Park Road.
Emergency responders pronounced both the driver and passenger dead at the scene.
Authorities are currently investigating the crash. Further details regarding the circumstances of the accident have not yet been released.
