Accident at Capital Bikeshare Station Injures One in Northeast D.C.
WASHINGTON – A car crashed into bicycles at a Capital Bikeshare station near the Benning Road Metro station shortly after 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to D.C. Police, the incident involved a silver vehicle and occurred at the intersection of Benning Road and East Capitol Street in Northeast D.C. At least one individual sustained injuries as a result of the crash.
Authorities reported that property damage rendered the bikeshare station out of service. Emergency responders attended the scene, and further details regarding the investigation are pending. No fatalities have been reported.
