Two Dead in Crash in Northwest North Dakota.

MOUNTRAIL COUNTY, N.D. — Two individuals died in a vehicle collision Monday morning, Dec. 15, approximately five miles east of the Williams County line.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 7:55 a.m. when a 2015 200 crossed into the westbound lane of Highway 1804. The vehicle began to slide and was subsequently struck on the driver's side by a 2007 Western Star semi traveling in the same lane.

The driver of the , a 21-year-old man from Bismarck, and his passenger, a 44-year-old man from Burnsville, Minnesota, were at the scene. Both were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The semi's driver, a 48-year-old man from Watford City, North Dakota, sustained no injuries.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
