Troy Man Killed in Nelson Dump Truck Crash
NELSON, N.H. — A 22-year-old man from Troy died in a dump truck crash on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. near the intersection of Lead Mine and Apple Hill Roads. Authorities reported that the ten-wheeled dump truck veered off the roadway, rolled onto its side, and crashed into the woods.
Gabriel Schimp was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to Nelson Police. Officials indicated that speed and the steep grade of the road may have contributed to the accident.
Emergency response included local law enforcement and medical teams, who arrived promptly at the scene. Investigations into the crash are ongoing, with no additional information available at this time. Lane closures were implemented while the area was cleared.
