Tow Truck Dangles Over McKinney Overpass Following Crash
On Wednesday, a tow truck ended up precariously hanging over an overpass near Highway 121 and Hardin Boulevard in McKinney, Texas.
According to officials, the McKinney Fire Department and other emergency personnel quickly responded to the scene to stabilize the vehicle and assist anyone potentially trapped. One individual was rescued with no major injuries and declined further medical transport after being evaluated by Medic 11.
Authorities stated the tow truck driver did not collide with other vehicles; the incident occurred while he attempted to avoid a crash, resulting in the truck flipping onto the overpass.
Emergency response closures affected all southbound lanes of the Sam Rayburn Tollway at Hardin Boulevard, along with two northbound lanes.
Authorities are advising drivers to seek alternate routes to avoid the area.
