EASTVIEW – A multi-vehicle collision on Route 55 resulted in two serious injuries and significant traffic delays on Aug. 16, according to authorities.
The crash, involving four vehicles, occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 12. Emergency responders from the Eastview Fire Department arrived quickly to provide medical aid.
Two individuals were transported to Eastview Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, authorities said. No fatalities have been reported at this time.
Authorities confirmed that all northbound lanes were closed for over an hour during the investigation and cleanup, leading to significant traffic congestion. Towing services were on-site to remove the vehicles involved.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and authorities are urging witnesses to come forward with any additional information.
