RUMSON – Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died following a collision in the borough on Thursday, July 23.
Philip B. Kornblatt, 67, was pronounced dead at a local hospital after the incident, which occurred at 12:17 p.m.
Borough police responded to the intersection of Ridge Road, also known as Hartshorne Lane, and Navesink Avenue to investigate the crash.
The collision involved one bicycle; details on other vehicles involved remain unconfirmed. Authorities reported no additional injuries.
Emergency Medical Services transported Kornblatt to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, and no charges have been filed as of yet.
