Three Motorcyclists Killed in Idaho County Crash, ISP Reports.

KOOSKIA, ID – June 16, 2026 – A three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 12 resulted in three fatalities Tuesday afternoon east of Kooskia.

At approximately 4 p.m., a westbound 2019 F-150 collided with three eastbound motorcycles after the driver, a 60-year-old woman from Colorado Springs, attempted to pass another vehicle in a marked no-passing zone, according to the Idaho State Police (ISP).

The three motorcyclists died at the scene from their injuries. The driver of the was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation, then arrested and booked into the Idaho County Jail on three counts of vehicular manslaughter.

The Idaho County Coroner's Office will identify the deceased and determine the cause of death. U.S. Highway 12 was closed for approximately six and one-half hours for emergency response and investigation.

ISP was assisted by the Idaho County Sheriff's Office, the Idaho County Coroner's Office, the Idaho Transportation Department, and local fire and EMS personnel. The investigation is ongoing.
