Three killed in early morning Merritt Parkway crash in Stratford
STRATFORD, CT – Three individuals died in a multi-vehicle crash on Route 15 South around 4:50 a.m. on Sunday.
According to State Police, a Lexus struck the back of a Honda Civic, which then collided with a Chrysler 200 in the right lane. The Civic subsequently caught fire.
All three victims, identified as 29-year-old Maria Vasquez Chacon and 21-year-old Joselyn Vasquez Chacon of Trenton, New Jersey, were in the Civic. The identity of the third victim has not been released. The driver of the Chrysler was reported uninjured.
Witnesses reported that the driver of the Lexus fled the scene.
