CHELMSFORD, Mass. —
One person was hospitalized following a wrong-way crash on Route 3 in Chelmsford during the Wednesday evening commute.
The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on the northbound side of Route 3. According to Massachusetts State Police, a vehicle traveling south crossed the median and collided with multiple vehicles heading north.
Emergency responders transported one individual to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Sky 5 reported major traffic delays, with the left lane on the northbound side remaining open as vehicles were towed from the scene. The incident has since cleared.
Authorities stated the investigation is ongoing, but it remains unclear if any charges will be filed at this time.
