A multi-vehicle crash occurred on I-285 South near Exit 18 in DeKalb County at approximately 2:41 p.m. today.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the collision involved three vehicles, resulting in one confirmed fatality and two injuries.
Emergency responders from the DeKalb County Fire Rescue and the local police department arrived on the scene within minutes, providing medical aid to the injured and clearing the area.
The southbound lanes of I-285 were temporarily closed while debris was cleared and an investigation into the accident began, leading to significant traffic delays.
