Two-Vehicle Collision Injures Three on Highway 45 in Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, AL – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 45 near the intersection with Main Street at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Friday.
Authorities said the accident involved a pickup truck and a sedan. Emergency responders from the Montgomery Fire Department and local police were dispatched to the scene. Two of the injured were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The third individual declined medical treatment at the scene.
Witnesses reported that heavy rain may have contributed to the incident, but an investigation is ongoing. The southbound lanes of Highway 45 were closed for approximately 45 minutes to facilitate rescue operations and vehicle recovery.
