MANSFIELD, OH — A crash on the northbound lane of Interstate 71, north of Mansfield, caused significant delays for motorists on Friday morning.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer collided with a Kia shortly after 10 a.m. a few miles south of Ashland. The incident resulted in a closure of I-71 northbound, affecting traffic for over an hour.

The middle and left lanes reopened around 11:15 a.m., while the right lane remained closed for cleanup and investigation. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries resulting from the crash. However, witnesses reported a substantial fuel spill across the interstate due to the collision.
