Heavy Backups Due to Crash on I-10 Twin Span Bridge
SLIDELL, La. — A multi-vehicle crash on I-10 West at Mile Marker 260 has caused significant delays as of 6:30 a.m. on October 14.
The two right lanes remain blocked while emergency responders clear the scene. Authorities said congestion extends to Oak Harbor Boulevard, leading to ongoing traffic issues.
All lanes were reported to be open as of 7:02 a.m., but backups continue as vehicles are being rerouted. Witnesses reported improving conditions following the clearing of the wreckage to the right shoulder.
Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
