SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A two-vehicle crash occurred at South 35th Street and Oregon Avenue at approximately 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.
At least one person was struck and several individuals were transported to the hospital. One vehicle sustained significant front-end damage, while the second car rolled onto its side in a nearby lawn after striking a pedestrian. Authorities reported that at least one person was trapped beneath a vehicle for a time.
Witnesses described the incident as chaotic, with one resident, Jarrod Jaycobs, noting the force of the collision. “I was inside the house when I heard the crash,” Jaycobs said. “It was crazy to see it happen.”
Local surveillance footage captured the crash, illustrating its severity. The Springfield Police Major Accident Investigation Team is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
