Crash Closes Section of Route 125 in New Hampshire for Hours
A serious motor vehicle accident closed a portion of Route 125 in Barrington, NH, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Town of Barrington, Route 125 was shut down between the traffic circle in Lee and Winkley Pond Road due to the incident. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
Emergency services from the Lee Fire Department were dispatched to assist Barrington Fire at the scene of the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Route 125 and Newtown Plains Road.
Lee Police later confirmed that the road closure extended into their jurisdiction, urging drivers to use Route 4 west to reach the Market Basket plaza. They indicated that the closure would remain in effect for several hours as authorities worked to clear the area.
There has been no immediate confirmation regarding injuries from the incident. Barrington Police announced that a press release with additional details would be issued later Thursday morning. State Police are assisting Barrington authorities with the investigation but have not provided any further information at this time.
