HARRISON COUNTY, Ind. — I-64 has reopened after a multiple-hour closure due to a semi crash and debris spill.
Authorities reported that a semi-truck crashed into a rock wall, resulting in an oil spill and debris on the roadway. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) indicated that both eastbound and westbound lanes were shut down between Wyandotte Road and IN 337, approximately 5 miles west of Corydon.
Westbound lanes reopened just before 7 a.m., followed by the eastbound lanes, which cleared around 7:50 a.m. The collision damaged part of the cable barrier and left large rocks on the road. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
Emergency responders managed the scene, ensuring that the oil spill and debris were addressed promptly.
