
BOISE COUNTY, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a recent news release, the Idaho State Police (ISP) will recognize three individuals for heroic, lifesaving actions following a double fatality crash on March 7, 2026, in Boise County.
The release states that a family of four was traveling on Arrow Rock Road when their truck left the roadway, rolled down an embankment and entered the reservoir. The father and a toddler died in the crash.
The mother and another young child survived because of the lifesaving actions of the individuals. Three witnesses entered the freezing water. Two swam to the sinking vehicle and assisted in extricating the occupants, while the third remained near the bank to help bring them safely out of the water.
ISP plans to publicly recognize these individuals on Friday at 1 p.m. in Meridian.
