COLUMBUS, Ohio — The remains of three Ohio airmen killed in a March 12 Iraq refueling crash are returning Sunday to Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base.
The airmen were Capt. Seth R. Koval, Master Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons and Capt. Curtis J. Angst, members of the 121st Air Refueling Wing.
They were among six service members killed when a U.S. Air Force KC-135 crashed during combat operations in Iraq, authorities said.
According to ABC 6/Fox 28, the remains of one service member will be taken Sunday afternoon from Rickenbacker to a funeral home for private family visitation.
The movement is not open to the public, the station reported.
The other three fallen service members were assigned to the 6th Air Refueling Wing at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
