WILMINGTON, DE—Three people lost their lives in a crash early on March 21 in downtown Wilmington, according to police.
Authorities identified the victims as 48-year-old Curtis Jackson, 35-year-old Caroline Shockley, and 41-year-old Brandon Hill. The collision occurred at approximately 4:18 a.m. at the intersection of Ninth and Walnut Streets, where officers found all three deceased in one vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, 30-year-old Nicholas Resto, was located at the scene and initially transported to the hospital. After treatment, he was taken into custody.
Investigators confirmed Resto was driving under the influence of alcohol and was speeding at the time of the incident. He has been charged with three counts of manslaughter and DUI.
