KANSAS CITY, KS — A 16-year-old was killed in a motorbike crash on October 6, 2023, in the Coronado neighborhood.
According to the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on a residential street. The motorbike collided with a passenger vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries to the teen, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency medical personnel from the Kansas City Fire Department responded and rendered aid. The driver of the passenger vehicle suffered minor injuries but declined further treatment, authorities said.
As a result of the collision, the roadway was closed for approximately two hours while an investigation was conducted. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department's Traffic Unit is leading the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
