Police Chase on I-65 in Scott County Ends in Collision
SCOTT COUNTY, Ind. — A police chase concluded with a crash on Interstate 65 Thursday afternoon, temporarily closing all lanes.
According to Indiana State Police (ISP), the pursuit began around 2 p.m. near Walmart in Scottsburg, where officers requested assistance. Troopers deployed stop sticks, leading to the suspect's vehicle striking a guardrail near mile marker nine.
All lanes of I-65 were briefly shut down but reopened by 3 p.m. Authorities did not disclose the reason for the pursuit.
The investigation into the suspect is being conducted by Scott County Police, with ISP assisting in the crash investigation.
