Two-Vehicle Crash in Downtown Leaves One Injured
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A two-vehicle crash occurred at 2:41 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Main Street and 12th Street, resulting in one confirmed injury.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, a sedan and an SUV collided while heading northbound on Main Street. Emergency responders arrived on the scene promptly, providing medical aid to the injured party, who was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities reported that both vehicles sustained significant damage and required towing. As a result, the northbound lanes of Main Street were closed for approximately 30 minutes as crews worked to clear the wreckage and conduct their investigation.
Witnesses reported seeing the crash unfold but confirmed no fatalities occurred. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
