Lede: A 66-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Main Street Extension in Middletown early Monday morning.
At approximately 6:34 a.m., police responded to reports of a pedestrian accident on Main Street Extension. The man was found with a life-threatening head injury and was transported to Hartford Hospital for urgent medical care.
Authorities stated the driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation conducted by the Middletown Police Traffic Division.
