Traffic Accident on Highway 50 Leaves One Injured
WHEAT RIDGE, CO – October 3, 2023 – A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 50 westbound just after 5:15 p.m., resulting in one reported injury.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, two vehicles were involved in the collision near mile marker 210. Emergency responders, including Wheat Ridge Fire Department, arrived shortly after the incident was reported. One individual was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities closed the two left lanes of the highway to facilitate the investigation and cleanup operations. The roadway is expected to reopen within the next hour.
Witnesses reported seeing one vehicle collide with another at high speed. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident has cooperated with law enforcement and was not injured in the incident.
