A fatal crash in Pahrump on August 14 left one woman dead, confirmed authorities.
Nevada State Police reported that a 2022 Can-Am OHV was traveling westbound on Gamebird Road at a high rate of speed when the driver crossed into oncoming traffic. The vehicle struck a chain link fence and a 17-year-old female pedestrian working in her yard nearby.
The driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene. Identification of the victim has been confirmed as 17-year-old Janet Errett, known for her 17-year tenure with KPVM and Ace Country Radio.

Authorities revealed the identity of the deceased pedestrian, confirming her as Janet Errett. She was engaged in yard work with her son when the incident occurred.

At approximately 12:23 p.m., NSP reported a collision between an ATV and an adult female pedestrian at Gamebird Road and Unicorn Avenue. The woman was pronounced dead on scene.
Gamebird Road is currently closed between Vicki Ann and Money Street, with Unicorn Avenue shut at its intersection with Gamebird Road. The investigation is ongoing, and no timeline for lane reopening is available. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
