TOWN OF OREGON, Wis. — Tragedy struck the Town of Oregon over the weekend as authorities confirmed the deaths of two individuals in a single-vehicle crash.
Richard Wisden, 67, and Kim Wisden, 57, both residents of Oregon, lost their lives when their vehicle, traveling north on Glenway Road, lost control near the intersection with Bell Brook Road. The Dane County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene shortly after the crash was reported around 8:55 p.m. on Sunday.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel pronounced the couple dead at the scene. The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed their identities.
The Village of Oregon Police Department acknowledged the couple's impact on the community in a heartfelt social media tribute. They wrote, “With heavy hearts, we join our community in mourning the loss of two truly remarkable individuals.” The department emphasized their kindness, generosity, and dedication, highlighting how these qualities enriched the lives of many in the area.
