MELROSE, Mass. – A learner's permit driver lost control of her vehicle, crashing into eight headstones at Wyoming Cemetery on Saturday afternoon.
The Melrose Police Department responded to the incident around 2:41 p.m. Authorities said the driver, a 53-year-old woman, was practicing driving alongside a licensed relative.
The vehicle involved was an older model Range Rover. No injuries were reported from the crash. According to officials, the damaged headstones were subsequently uprighted by the Department of Public Works.
The Melrose Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.
