SEMINOLE COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A crash on Oklahoma State Highway 3 resulted in one fatality and two injuries on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred when 77-year-old Jimmy Crawford and 76-year-old Sharon Crawford, both from Holdenville, were traveling northbound on OK-3 near EW1190 Road. A vehicle, driven by another individual, crossed the centerline and collided with the Crawfords' vehicle.
Sharon Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene. Jimmy Crawford sustained injuries and was transported for medical care. The driver of the other vehicle also suffered injuries and received treatment.
Emergency response teams arrived promptly to manage the situation. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the collision, and further details regarding lane closures have not been confirmed.
