MCCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A Pocasset woman died in a collision at an intersection in Purcell on July 23.
Shortly before 8 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the crash site at 180th Street and May Ave. Authorities said a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with another vehicle.
The driver of the first vehicle, identified as 74-year-old Nelda Idle, succumbed to her injuries. Two passengers in that vehicle, along with the driver of the second vehicle, sustained injuries and received medical attention.
Investigators are looking into the incident. No additional details regarding tow operations or lane closures have been confirmed.
