OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA (KOKH) — An Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) trooper was injured in a collision while responding to another crash on SH-9 near Longtown on Monday morning.
According to OHP, the trooper was attempting to pass a vehicle when the other vehicle turned into a private drive and collided with the patrol car. The impact caused the trooper's vehicle to roll, pinning him inside for approximately 15 minutes.
Emergency responders from OHP extricated the trooper, who was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
The incident temporarily closed lanes on SH-9 as authorities assessed the scene and conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
