WASHINGTON, Utah (KUTV) — One person was hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning in southern Utah.
The Washington City Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after the incident occurred. First responders were able to extricate the individual within 15 minutes and transported them via ambulance to a local hospital for further care.
The identity of the rescued person has not been released, and the extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
According to Washington City Fire officials, the crash highlighted the importance of coordination and teamwork. “The Coral Canyon Station is unique because it is a shared station, staffed by both Washington City Fire and Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue crews,” fire officials stated. The crews regularly train together, enhancing communication and efficiency during emergencies.
